ESCAPE THE CRISIS – Save the Planet!

Concept

Escape the Crisis – Save Our Planet! is an online escape roomthat highlights the close connection between human health, climate, and sustainability in an interactive experience . Participants take on the role of a crew aboard a spaceship in Earth’s orbit and are given a special mission: to work together to demonstrate that humanity can protect the foundations of its existence. They are accompanied by E.I.O.N, an extraterrestrial avatar who observes young civilizations at crucial turning points in their development.

At four themed stations— Air, Water, Earth, and Fire — players work together to solve puzzles and mini-games centered on physical activity, nutrition, mental balance, and the global Sustainable Development Goals. In the process, they learn step by step how inextricably linked human health is to the health of our planet. Instead of assigning blame or spreading fear, “Escape the Crisis” focuses on cooperation, systems thinking, and self-efficacy—and conveys scientifically sound content in a motivating way.

Interdependencies Between Mobility, Nutrition, Resource Conservation, and Climate Protection

Together with the friendly alien E.I.O.N, players explore the topics of mobility, nutrition, resource use, and climate—and gain firsthand experience of how closely these are linked to planetary health .

Through the mini-games, players come to realize the impact that everyday decisions have on the health of both people and the planet, and how deeply society and individuals are affected by them. In this way, the game demonstrates that sustainable decisions simultaneously benefit the climate, the environment, and health —with the goal of viewing responsibility as an opportunity for a healthy and livable future.
