QM – Game Consulting was commissioned to prepare the 3D scenarios for the SOS Children’s Villages worldwide commercial. For this purpose, 3D models were created, including the SOS Children’s Villages house, solar panels and futuristic desks. The 3D models were then combined in Unreal Engine 4 to create two different levels. One is a favela area, which can be seen at the start of the commercial, and the other is a futuristic laboratory, which can be seen at the end of the commercial. The scenery was created for the Hyperbowl, a 360° film set. For the 360° screen, it is important to load in the proportions so that the shoot looks realistic with real people. It was also important to ensure that the textures had a good resolution. It was a very nice experience for the QM Game Consulting team to be able to help with the commercial and provide an important part for the shoot.

About the commercial

The commercial was commissioned by SOS Children’s Villages worldwide. Lecturers and students from the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences were responsible for the story and filming, Hyperbowl Munich provided their Hyperbowl and QM – Game Consulting took care of the 3D visualization for the production and scenography.
